Ether (ETH) logo

Ether (ETH) is Ethereum’s native asset. It is used to pay network fees (gas), secure the network through staking under Proof of Stake, and serve as a core collateral asset across DeFi, trading, and tokenization markets. ETH’s economic role is multi-dimensional: it’s “fuel” for computation, a staking-backed security resource, and a settlement asset that can be held by users, treasuries, and institutional products like spot ether ETFs. Because ETH is required to purchase blockspace and data availability, demand for Ethereum usage can translate into demand for ETH. After fee-market upgrades, parts of Ethereum fees can be burned, linking network activity to supply dynamics and contributing to long-tail narratives around ETH as a programmable, productive asset. #Ethereum #VEI #VirtualEthereumIndex.
